The Corporation has existed since early egyptian times. It is a "legal person" and can essentially perform any business or legal task that an individual can. Any corporation, whether large or small, conducts its affairs through three different groups:

Directors, Officers & Stockholders
Corporations, of course, also function through employees who carry out the day-to-day mandates of the officers. In Nevada one person may occupy all positions in the corporation (president, treasurer and secretary) and be its sole stockholder and director.
