Although it may seem as easy as filing out a form and paying a fee, there is much more to a name change than that.
Here are the steps we must take to ensure that the name change is done properly and that corporate record is reflected correctly:
1. Director Resolution allowing us to submit the name change
2. Stockholder Ratification allowing us to submit the name change
3. Preparation of the filing and payment of the State filing fee
4. Courier fee for delivering the filing
5. Director Resolution accepting the name change (once filing is complete), accepting a new form of corporate seal and also a new form of stock certificate
6. We need to order a new corporate kit with the corrected name
7. We need to order a new corporate seal with the corrected name
8. We need to send a letter to the IRS changing the name
9. We need to send a letter and also various forms to the Nevada Department of Taxation
10. We need to prepare and issue new stock certificates with the corrected name
11. Change name in any State with a foreign registration. (varies per State requirement)
